Deconvolution utility

Deconvolution

The goal of deconvolution is to recreate the signal as it existed before the convolution took place. This usually requires the characteristics of the convolution (i.e., the impulse or frequency response) to be known. Deconvolution can be carried out in the frequency domain as a simple division, the inverse operation of multiplication.

To create an impulse response, download the following sweep file, play it back at the space you wish to characterise and upload such recording of the 'wet' sweep in the section above. This utility will take the 'wet' file and generate a downloadable Impulse Response audio file from it. The recorded sweep file has to be saved in 44.1 kHz of sampling rate.
